Ruth Yeates is a recent graduate of Birmingham City University where her studies and design practice focused on Print Design, Archival Typographic History and Brand Experience.
She has a great interest in traditional printing techniques, such as letterpress and the archival research that surrounds it, researching deeper into typographic history and the heritage of the Arts & Crafts Movement in England. This research helped to underpin her final year studies which she continues to develop since graduating. Ruth explores the importance of education in her work also, by gaining experience volunteering and running workshops at Winterbourne Press for members of the public and school visits such as BCU'S Type Society.
