Book History Research Network
General Activity
The Book History Research Network, formerly the Book History Postgraduate Network, was established in 1998 by the former Book Trade History Group in co-operation with the Institute for English Studies at the School of Advanced Study at the University of London. It aims to bring together current and former postgraduate students, teachers and independent researchers working in any area or period of 'the history of the book'. It has an active series of Study Days (usually two a year) which take place in different locations, which allow postgraduates to discuss their work and share experiences, progress and problems. These Study Days, and other events, help to bring together book history researchers who may be isolated. The Network also maintains a Register of Book History Researchers, which includes both current and recently completed research in all areas of book history. If you would like to join the network, please contact us at the email below.
Steering Group
The Network is currently co-ordinated by Dr Rebecca Emmett
