HoPIN: Illustrating industry

This Artsfest Online event will feature illustrated talks on the subjects of illustrated print for industry and commerce and was recorded on 22nd March 2021.

The webinar will be chaired by Dr Caroline Archer-Parré Professor of Typography at Birmingham City University, Co-director of the Centre for Printing History and Culture at Birmingham City University, and Chairman of the Baskerville Society.

Speakers: Adrian Slaney (BCU), Silk cigarette cards Georgina Grant (Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust), Ironware and illustration: the Coalbrookdale Company catalogues Dr Henrietta Lockhart (Winterbourne House and Garden), A Murmuration of Screws: print from the GKN Archive Martin Killeen (University of Birmingham), See food and eat it: illustrations in some cookery books.
