From Craft to Technology and Back Again

The Centre for Printing History & Culture is delighted to be working with two of its partners, the Printing Historical Society, UK and the National Print Museum, Dublin in hosting a two day conference entitled From Craft to Technology and Back Again: prints progress in the twentieth century. Despite the printing industry having undergone more technological, organisational and structural revolutions in the last hundred years than at any other time in its development, the twentieth century has largely been overlooked by printing historians. This conference, to be held in the wonderful National Print Museum, Dublin, looks to address this problem by focusing on the evolution of printing during the twentieth century and by drawing together not only academics but also practitioners in the field. More information about the conference and the call for papers can be found here.
