Print Futures Awards 2017
- Are you already working in printing, packaging, publishing or graphic arts and would like to develop your skills?
- Are you studying for a printing, packaging, publishing or graphic arts qualification?
- Are you an apprentice or studying for an NVQ in a printrelated organisation?
If so, you could be eligible to apply for a Print Futures Award of £1,500 to help pay for costs associated with your training or qualification.
How do I qualify?
The Awards are open to UK residents aged 18 to 30 years, who want to train for a career in
printing, packaging, publishing or graphic arts. You could be eligible if you intend to or are already studying or want to undertake short courses or training sessions to develop your workplace skills. You must intend to or already work in the UK printing, packaging, publishing or graphic arts industries. Previous winners have used their Awards to help pay for course fees and materials, short courses including printmaking, bookbinding, and colour management, materials and printing costs for portfolios and graduation shows, travel and living costs during work placements, marketing courses, speaking and presentation skills for work, computers, design software, professional accreditation, an occupational health and safety course, and a forklift and HGV licence.
Don’t forget the closing date for entries is 30 April 2017.
You have to be available to attend an interview in London in early June and, if successful, you
will be invited to the Awards presentation at the House of Lords on 20th July 2017. All winners
automatically join our Print Futures Awards Alumni programme. This is an opportunity to keep
in touch and let us know how you have used your Award and how your career is progressing. We will also share developments in the sector and opportunities we hear about.
