Dr John Grayson

University of Staffordshire

John is Senior Lecturer in Design at Staffordshire University; Lecturer in Artist Blacksmithing at Hereford College of Arts. His research focuses on eighteenth-century Midland metalworking trades, particularly enamel. From 2014-18 he undertook doctoral research into enamel artefacts in Wolverhampton Art Gallery, the V&A, Museum of London, and Manchester Art Gallery. His article Imperfect Printed Enamel Surfaces, appeared in Midland History (2020).
